PHILOSOPHY/OUTLOOK/MISSION STATEMENT/CREDO/MASTHEAD
Lithic refers to rock. A rock is a collection of minerals. A mineral is a naturally occurring solid with an orderly and repeated internal structure. Rocks stand up to time - for a while. Words, well-wrought, can also stand up—for a while, and provide some small salve for the journey, some joy for the maker and the reader.
Lithic began with the urge to publish as much of Jack Mueller’s work as possible. That continues to be a focus. Jack has a number of works long completed or near-ready that we hope to bring out over the next couple of years. Poetry will remain our core, but we are also open to the possibilities of memoir, natural history, and almost any other fine writing that comes our way.
